Met the baker behind the magic today at a bridal expo. I had to make it a point to jump on here and leave a review. I mean it when I say you can taste the quality, natural ingredients she uses. I tried four types of cake (I know, I know, I'm weak around cake!) and they were all unbelievable. Also, what a nice person! Sweet person, exceptionally beautiful cakes. Bravo, Gateau!
If you're like me, you would be looking for a cake that doesn't taste like most wedding cakes. Wedding cakes have always been my least favorite part of weddings, because of the amount of preservatives packed in there. Not so with Gateau Distinctive cakes! Prepare to get your taste buds blown away! My wedding guests described it as if their grandmother had just baked this perfection that afternoon. The frosting was light and airy. Her filling was perfection! AND, I had a gluten free vegan request because many of my guests had either or both of those dietary constraints. It was soo good that we had no leftovers! You could not even tell it was gluten AND vegan. Don't spend hundreds or even into the thousands for a subpar cake. Her prices are right. The taste was perfect, and customer service was amazing! (she let me even invent a flavor...)
Gateau is an excellent bakery! Their cake is to die for! They have amazing options and everything they make tastes delicious and looks beautiful! All of my guests loved the cake and my father went home with three slices to take home. Thank you gateau!
60th Anniversary celebration for parents catered for a Senior Citizen afternoon coffee social. The champagne cupcakes as always were beyond delicious... the macaroons melted in your mouth, cookies were also outstanding! Have ordered cakes over the last two years for birthdays and they were also throughly enjoyed. Can't wait for the tea shop to open in Old Town Warrenton!!
I asked them to do my son's 1st birthday cake and let me tell you, they went above an beyond for him! i only had 75 to work with and they delivered a beautiful cake! I'm a freak when it comes to giving my son healthy options and they by far are the perfect treat for a kid. Organic and still tasty! They are so nice and very understanding. I was having such a tough time before the cake, and when they showed me it, it was absolute beauty! Will be ordering all my cakes from them again! Sorry for the late review!
