This was a fun way to support the county. Our family enjoyed ourselves immensely!!
Good fair for a small town.
Visited the fair last night for the lawnmower races, had a great time. This was our first time attending but we will be back next year. Very organized with traffic and pedestrians going in and out of fair strong police presence and just friendly people...
I only have experience with small county fairs, but this one is my favorite. It is very clean and classy. There is a nice petting zoo with animals kids don't normally see and a large display of farm equipment. The location is rural and offers a scenic drive if one is coming from the suburbs/city.
Don't forget to pick up bag(s) of kettle corn for later
Being from Texas where County Fairs are huge events, I was a little disappointed that this was so small. However the people were friendly and were having a good time. Exhibits were well represented an I really enjoyed the crafts and arts. The concert was great. First the opening band did a good job, then they had an chainsaw auction that was great fun. The highlight of the day was the Neal McCoy Show. That's when I was greatful for the small venue. He put on a fantastic show and it was up close and personal. The night ended with a large fireworks display but unfortunately it was mostly obscured by trees.
We just moved to Warrenton! We loved the county fair... the food, atmosphere and general friendliness of the volunteers (huge thank YOU to the volunteers). Bring plenty of cash, your appitite and sunblock!
