We went in pre-approved and ready to buy if they matched what other dealers offered us out the door (the other dealers were further away so this was our first stop). But their destination fee was pretty high and honestly, they didn't seem that interested in making a sale. This was the only dealer where the service manager just sat on his butt at his desk, never came over to introduce himself, and never tried to negotiate with us face-to-face. The sales rep, though very nice, seemed disinterested and quickly gave up on the negotiations and said every dealer pays the same price. Yet we've received offers for cheaper out-the-door. He said he'd follow up with us the next day after speaking to the person we originally dealt with on the phone and then never did.
Again, they're not bad. They're nice and their prices aren't that high. But they're not the best if you're willing to drive and deal with someone further away. But they definitely don't seem interested in keeping business as they put minimal effort into the whole deal. After walking away from it, wife said "I'm glad we didn't buy here even though it would have been easier. That just didn't feel like a very welcoming or positive experience".
What a mess dealing with Safford of Warrenton. A week after purchasing and financing (or so I thought) through Chrysler Capital it's not complete. I have had to go in repeatedly to resign paperwork. now they want proof my old truck was paid off. My bank sent them proof but it wasn't in the proper format according to Safford. I called Chrysler Capital has no record of my application. I'm quite sure Safford is running some kind of scam on me.
Brendan Gallehr does not honor quoted prices. Like others, submitted online form and requested info on a vehicle. I have been sent 7 emails from 4 different people. I have responded to all of them with no response back to my questions. Its just another generic template email back. Emails are being sent by different names than is in the signature blocks. I respond and no answer. Finally able to speak with a sales manager Brendan Gallehr and agreed upon a price but now he will not email back or send a buyers order contract. I've never dealt with dealership that has this many issues and will never do business here. The General Manager Adam Dunn or whoever it is this month should have better oversight over what is going on.
Way understaffed! Took almost 4 hours to get an oil change and new tires!! Biggest mistake was having them drop me off at home. Felt stranded and could not get through to them on the phone to tell them I had to pick up my kids. Extremely frustrated spending so much time on hold and having my call dropped!! Worst experience ever...
Safford of Warrenton was fantastic! I highly recommend this dealership for anyone who is looking to buy a car. They treated us well and we walked away very happy with our purchase. They really take care of their customers and they want you to get exactly what you want for a reasonable price.
Our experience with them when going in to buy a car was worse than with the other dealers we've visited, though they're not bad by any means (hence the average rating). The people we did get to interact with were extremely friendly and they even let us bring our dog along for the test drive and inside for the negotiations.
