We are eternally grateful.

I previously went to Child Health Associates (Loved them). Did not know of many options so I ended up here. I hate the impersonal feel of this office. Just to much staff. Not very cooperative with the input parents give on what they think is best for there child. Be ready to wait 40min to an hour pass your appointment time. They charge you for EVERYTHING.

My twin brother was incredibly sick and then my mother took him here and they said he had constipation and in reality he had type one diabetes obviously they don't do a thorough enough check to figure out what is wrong and also find every person that is misqualified to even be a nurse because constipation and diabetes are totally different...

My daughter was prescribed a higher than normal dose of Tylenol after being diagnosed with a virus. We did not get her lab work back that tested positive for Strep until 5 days later. Made numerous unsuccessful calls to the doctors office waiting 10 - 20 minutes each time to let them know she was vomiting and fainted and wanted to get the results from her lab work thinking that perhaps we should be doing something different. Spoke to the person on the appointment line to inform her that the nurse was not picking up and explained the urgency. She put me on hold for 10 minutes to then come back and tell me that I would have to call again and wait because they were short staffed. I NEVER heard back from them that day. Next day I took my daughter to the ER to find out she also had Mono which they didn't even test her for. Two days later she had to be flown by helicopter with an acute liver failure, extreme disorientation, confusion/seizures and her liver was deteriorating rapidly. All of this could of been avoided if the doctor at this practice would of not prescribed a high dose of Tylenol and returned my call when her condition was getting worse. Totally unacceptable. My daughter refuses to ever return after they almost killed her. Also, due to the emotional stress and anxiety that this has caused us, now we have to move due to not being able to pay rent because of the missed work and medical expenses associated with this. I pray that no other parent has to go through what my daughter and I did.

We take our daughter to Piedmont Pediatrics and they are great. We have had 2 different doctors and both have been fantastic. They are very busy and have a close relationship with the hospital so there is always a chance your doctor has to go to emergency surgery. They have been very accommodating when that situation occurred.

After everyone in my neighborhood recommended Dr. Jakum to me I went ahead and made the decision that he would be my soon to be daughter's pediatrician. My daughter ended up being delivered a few weeks early. She had stopped growing inside of me and was measuring 8-9 weeks behind. Dr. Jakum was in the room when I delivered and even when she was admitted into the NICU and he could no longer be her doctor during that time, we ran into him in the hallway and he had just reviewed her chart to make sure he was pleased with the care she was receiving. My daughter is now 2.5 years old... and thriving! He is not just her pediatrician but also a mentor to me. He and his nurse Charity have the best bedside manner. I come into every appointment with a long list of questions and he is never trying to rush me out of the door.... he addresses all of my concerns as if we were having a conversation about one of his own children. My mother in law comes to most of my daughter's appointments and has told me on several occasions how amazed she is at the level of care he gives compared to her other grandchildren's pediatricians. There is no one better!
